Independent America
The English of America , founded colonies to the XVII and XVIII
centuries are thirteen.
About 1750, they count 1 200 000 inhabitants : SCOTTISH, WELSH,
IRISH ENGLISH and some French ,Dutchman and Germans.
These colonists recognize the authority of the King of ENGLAND.
Colonists against England
The colonists are established along the Atantic coast.
Beyond, for them, it is " Brutality", the ground of the Indians.
The enemy, it is also the French, who colonized the valley of the
St. Lawrence ( Quebec - Montreal ).
In London , the King wants to make pay with the colonies the
expenses of war against France.
March 5, 1770, in BOSTON ( colony of MASSACHUSSETS ), the English
soldiers , called the " RED TUNICS ", make five dead among the
colonists.
The American revolution
April 19, 1775, in LEXINGTON, close to Boston, of the colonists
and teh " Red Tunics " exchange shots. The war of Independence
started. The colonists raise an army of volounteers who resist only
with the assistance of the French.
With YORKTOWN ( colony of VIRGINIA ), the English capitulate to
General George WASHINGTON, the count of ROCHAMBEAU and the marquis of
LAFAYETTE.
England recognizes the independence of its colonies of America
and the war ends by the treaty of VERSAILLES in 1783.
